Privacy Policy

The Privacy Policy shall be governed by the internet shopping mall (hereinafter referred to as “shopping mall”) operated by Coffee Libre Branch (Geomsan). This is done to ensure the basic rights of the people who use the service (privacy, freedom, and communication secrecy) are upheld and to prevent human rights violations due to illegal wiretapping and information leakage.

The Privacy Policy of the “shopping mall” may be changed according to revisions in government laws and guidelines, so users are reminded to check the website from time to time.

 

 

1. Personal Information to be Collected and Purpose of Collection and Use 

The “shopping mall” shall collect personal information for the following purposes in order to provide the most optimized and customized service to members:

  - Name, ID, Password, Resident Registration Number: Used for identification process according to the use of membership service;

  - Email Address, Whether or Not to Receive Email, Phone Number: Delivery of notices, confirmation of one’s own intentions, securing a smooth communication path such as handling complaints, and information on new services/products or events;

  - Address, Phone Number: Securing the correct address for the delivery of prizes and “goods, etc.;”

  - Questions and Answers for Password Hints: Content for prompt processing in case the members forgets their password; and/or

  - Other Optional Items: Data to provide personalized service

However, the “shopping mall” shall not collect sensitive personal information that may infringe upon the user’s basic human rights (race and ethnicity, ideology and creed, place of birth and domicile, political orientation, criminal record, health status, sex life, etc.).

 

 

2. Period of Collection, Retention, and Use of Personal Information

Personal information of users shall be destroyed when the purpose of collecting or receiving personal information has been achieved. 

However, personal information can be retained for a certain period of time for reasons such as the confirmation of the relationship of rights and obligations related to transactions as follows in accordance with the provisions of relevant laws such as the Commercial Act.

  - In the case of membership registration information, consent shall be obtained by specifying the purpose of retention, period of retention, and personal information to be collected in advance such as when a member withdraws or is expelled from membership.

  - Records on Contract or Subscription Withdrawal: Five years

  - Records on Payment and Supply of “Goods, Etc.”: Five years

   - Records on Consumer Complaints or Dispute Resolution: Three years

The “shopping mall” shall take the proper measures to ensure members can view and confirm transaction information without delay upon request. 

 

 

3. Provision and Sharing of Personal Information

In principle, the “shopping mall” shall not disclose the personal information of members to other companies or institutions unrelated to the service.

However, the following cases shall be set as the exception: when the member agrees to the disclosure, if there is a violation of the Terms and Conditions, or when it has been judged that the personal information must be disclosed in order to take legal action against a person who used the “shopping mall” to harm others or to violate public order or morals. 

The “shopping mall” shall be allowed to share personal information in the following cases: to provide minimal shipping information to the delivery company in order to ship an order and in the case of statistical writing, academic research, market research, information provision, and sending notifications. In some cases, information may be provided in a form that cannot identify a specific individual.

 

 

4. Protection of Personal Information of Non-Members

The “shopping mall” shall allow both members and non-members to purchase “goods, etc.” 

The “shopping mall” shall only request personal information that is required for delivery, payment, and product delivery for non-member orders.

If a non-member makes a purchase through the “shopping mall,” the information for the payer and recipient shall not be used for any purpose other than payment and product delivery.

 

 

5. Protection of Personal Information of Minors 

In order to protect the personal information of minors, the “shopping mall” shall not, in principle, allow children under the age of 14 to sign up for membership.

 

 

6. Cookie Operation

Cookies are a small form of data sent by the server used to operate a website to a user’s browser. Cookies are used to authenticate the member while logging into the “shopping mall.”

Cookies are not stored on your PC and will be automatically deleted upon logging out.

Users may refuse to the storage of cookies, but this may cause various inconveniences.

Here’s how to specify whether or not to allow cookies to be stored (for Internet Explorer):

 Select “Internet Options” from the “Tools” menu.

 Click on “Personal Information.”

 Set the personal information handling level.

 

 

7. Technical and Administrative Measures

The “shopping mall” shall be equipped with advanced security systems related to servers and networks.

The “shopping mall” shall have its own firewall and shall take all proper measures when it comes to protecting the personal information of members.

The “shopping mall” shall not only minimize the number of employees handling personal information, but shall also vary the right to access member information for each employee. The “shopping mall” shall emphasize compliance with this policy through frequent security training.

 

 

8. Personal Information Access, Correction, and Deletion Process

Users may request to view, correct, or delete the provided personal information at any time.

Users can view and correct their personal information by selecting the “Member Information Edit Menu” in the “My Page” section of the “shopping mall.” 

The “shopping mall” shall process any requests made by users to change member information after going through the identification process.

In principle, the member’s ID and password are only to be used by the member.  

The “shopping mall” shall not be held responsible for any problems caused by the theft of a member’s ID and/or password or problems caused by another person using a user’s account. 

In any case, members should not disclose their password to others. Members shall be expected to take special care not to leak their personal information to others around them while they are logged into the “shopping mall.”

Members should log out of the “shopping mall” when using a public computer or one that is used by others. 

 

 

9. Personal Information Inquiries

Please send any comments or complaints regarding personal information to the Customer Satisfaction Center, which is the customer service window of the “shopping mall” (phone: +82-31-947-0615). The “shopping mall” shall immediately take any and all necessary actions and notify the user of the results of the processing.

11. Information on Consumer Complaint Reporting Organizations

Users can report damage during use to the Korea Consumer Protection Agency (http://www.kca.go.kr). Reports related to the infringement of personal information should be sent to the Personal Information Infringement Report Center (http://privacy.kisa.or.kr) /main.do).

 

 

12. Protection of Personal Information of Non-Members

The “shopping mall” shall allow both members and non-members to purchase “goods, etc.” 

The “shopping mall” shall only request personal information that is required for delivery, payment, and product delivery for non-member orders.

If a non-member makes a purchase through the “shopping mall,” the information for the payer and recipient shall not be used for any purpose other than payment and product delivery.

The “shopping mall” shall protect the personal information of non-members in the same manner as actual members.
